Railroad Crossing

The Reed City Depot, which houses the Chamber of Commerce recently installed this beautiful Railroad Crossing quilt block.

Unfortunately, the time of day the picture was taken caused a shadow from a light in the top part of the block
The Depot building is newly constructed near the site of the old depot, which served two rail lines. Those railroads have been converted to Rails to Trails hiking and biking trails: the White Pine Trail running north-south from Cadillac to Grand Rapids and the east-west Pere Marquette Trail running from Ludington to Midland.

  1. Brenda Marsh says:

The old depot was located to the southeast from this new, beautiful depot building. The original depot was located to the south and west of the “diamond” track crossing.
